Your privacy is simple here: the Cross Stitch Calculator runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, sell, or share personal information - because there is nothing to collect.
1. The short version
- No accounts, no sign-ups, no passwords.
- Your stitch counts, fabric choices, and prices are processed on your device and never sent to us.
- No advertising trackers and no analytics cookies.
2. Information you enter
Everything you type into the calculator - pattern dimensions, fabric count, border allowance, floss colors, and prices - stays in your browser. Calculations are performed locally by the page's JavaScript; no data is transmitted over the network to compute your results.
3. Local storage
To save you from re-typing your settings, the calculator previously stored your last inputs in your browser's localStorage. This data lives only on your device, is never transmitted, and can be cleared at any time through your browser's site-data or privacy settings.
4. Contact form
If you email us via the Contact Us page, your message is sent through your own email provider using a standard mailto: link. We receive only what you choose to send (your name, email address, and message) and use it solely to reply to you. We never add you to a mailing list.
5. Cookies
This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The only stored data is the localStorage described above.
6. Third-party resources
Pages load web fonts from Google Fonts so they display correctly. When your browser requests a font, standard technical information (such as your IP address) may be processed by the font provider under their own privacy policy. All fonts are also available if your browser blocks external requests; the site simply falls back to system fonts.
7. Children's privacy
The calculator is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Because the site collects no personal data, changes will rarely be anything more than wording.
9. Contact us
Questions about privacy? Drop us a line on the Contact Us page - we read everything and reply as quickly as we can.
